Lori Myren-Manbeck, Founder and CEO
Lori Myren-Manbeck is the Founder and CEO of Inclusivi-tee, as well as a geriatric psychologist, podcast host, author, and speaker. Her book, “You Can Save The World…In Fact, You’re the Only One Who Can,” came out of her work at Inclusivi-tee and provides practical tips anyone can use to live a more sustainable life.
Lori has always been a passionate advocate for justice. In 2017, she founded Inclusivi-tee as a Public Benefit Corporation devoted to social and environmental justice and kindness. Working primarily single-handedly, she wrote and implemented a business plan; found consultants; hired artists; created a board; managed designs; spearheaded marketing and distribution; set goals; ran fundraisers and events, including the “We Can Save the World Sustainability Challenge;” launched a successful podcast; and ensured Inclusivi-tee consistently honored its commitment to the community.
In addition to her work for Inclusivi-tee, Lori continues to work several hours a week as a Geriatric Clinical Psychologist. In her practice, Lori consults in care facilities, working directly with residents, monitoring mood issues, developing strategies to manage life changes, monitoring risks, evaluating cognitive functioning, consulting with staff, and providing training for staff, residents, and family members. Lori says this work, as well as previous work with victims of trauma, has provided valuable insights into her role as podcast host and reminds her regularly why she cares about creating a sustainable future.
The few hours a week Lori is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, adult daughters, sister, and parents; reading; spending time outside; and cooking. She is on the Board for Alliance for Sustainability and regularly volunteers for ONE, an organization whose mission is ending extreme world hunger.
Lori holds a B.A. in Psychology from Grinnell College and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
